Athira Holidays to aggressively promote the Malabar region

Kochi-based Athira Holidays will aggressively promote the Malabar district by introducing package tours for inbound and domestic travellers this year. The tour operator has introduced packages ranging from five nights to nine nights in the Malabar region. “The region has immense potential, which is yet to be tapped and by focusing on this region we want to offer tourists an experience of the local flavour. The target clientele is the Free Individual Traveller (FIT) and group travellers,” said Kandolath Raghavan, Managing Partner, Athira Holidays.

Local experiences offered by Athira Holidays include elephant rides, home stays and cuisine, folk dances and cultural experiences. “Places like Wayanad, Munthega Wildlife Sanctuary, Bekal, Kasargood, Vythiri, Eddakal Caves etc. are some of the places included in our itinerary,” stated Raghavan. He further added, “Visitors in any part of Kerala can take the elephant rides, which are an unique way to explore the destination. With offices across major cities in South India, the travel company also works closely with a network of sub-agents in North India in order to further augment tourist arrivals.
