Bahrain Air to fly to Kozhikode from April 1, 2009

Bahrain Air, private national carrier of Bahrain, has announced its route expansion to serve business travellers and other travellers seeking affordable travel. The airline will introduce thrice weekly flights to Kathmandu in Nepal from March 17; nine weekly services to Abu Dhabi from March 29 and three services to Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala from April 1, this year. “Bahrain Air is poised to spread its wings to add three more destinations to its network in the coming weeks,” confirmed B K Majmudar, Director of Commercial Operations and Corporate Planning, Bahrain Air, from his office in Muharraq, The Kingdom of Bahrain. Having started its operations a year ago, Bahrain Air operates to 14 destinations.

“ We are extremely satisfied that our strategy of cautious and controlled expansion to serve the business travellers and the travellers seeking affordable prices without compromising the quality of services, is paying off, when some of the competitors are struggling currently,” added Majmudar. Bahrain Air uses modern aircraft. Currently, the fleet consists of two Airbus A320 and one A319 aircraft. The fourth aircraft is expected to join the company’s fleet very soon.
