Select World Tours introduces ‘Indian Routes’ for inbound traffic

Indian Routes, a subsidiary of Select World Tours India Pvt Ltd, which had a soft launch in May, this year, is focusing mainly on the inbound traffic. Indian Routes is planning to cater to the FIT segment on a large scale, as well as the incentive segment. It will also introduce its portal in India in the near future. “We will cater to other clients, but our main focus is FIT. We are focusing highly on specialised tours in India, catering to special interest groups,” stated Kiran Jyoti, Vice President and Business Head, Indian Routes. In order to cater to the inbound traffic, Indian Routes has tied up with various travel companies on a global level.

“In order to enhance our focus on inbound traffic, we plan to have our presence in South East Asian countries by next year. Currently, we work closely with travel agencies based in Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh along with few in African continent, South America, Australia and parts of Far East. We are targeting at achieving Rs 20 crore turn over in our first financial year ending March 2009,” stated Jyoti. The company has its head office in New Delhi and branch offices in Mumbai and Chennai. The company is also taking eco friendly measures along with inducting sustainable and responsible tourism by promoting rural India among the inbound clients.
