Rail Europe India introduces web services solutions for agents

In order to further augment sales post the launch of their B2B and B2C websites, Rail Europe India Pvt. Ltd. has introduced Web Services solution that offers their agents a seamless API interface to Euronet, which is the rail reservation system of Rail Europe. The accredited agents can offer web based access to their B2B and B2C clients. Currently about three companies namely, Cox and Kings, TCI and Saltours have implemented this Web Services solution. Rail Europe is currently holding talks with companies like Yatra.com, Swiss Holidays, Makemytrip.com to connect the Web Services solution on to their website.

Speaking to TravelBiz Monitor, Gopi Iengar, Executive Director, Rail Europe India Pvt. Ltd, said, ‘The accredited agents, as well as a few ‘Euronet’ agents in India are keen on implementing Web Services due to obvious benefits that one can accrue with such a platform.” He further added that companies like TUI India are very keen to take on this service and also Rail Europe India’s network of `Euronet’ agents like Aman Travels and Dewan Holidays are keen to add this service. For the B2B market, implementing web services will add benefit as it makes it easier for the Rail Europe Accredited agents to offer European products to their retail travel agent network with instant access to European rail inventories making it faster to offer instant bookings.
