Air India Express announces operation of All Women Crew flight

Air India Express, announced the operation of an All Women Crew flight on the Chennai-Singapore route yesterday. The decision has been made after the appointment of Captain Chameli Krottapalli as the first lady Commander of Air India Express. The flight IX-662/661 will depart Chennai at 1425 hours and arrive in Singapore at 2100 hours. The return flight will depart Singapore at 2210 hours and arrive in Chennai at 2330 hours.

Captain Krottapalli joined Air India Express in November 2004. The other crew members of the flight are Captain Amrit Namdhari, Co-Pilot and Cabin Crew S. Banu, P. Bhutia, S. Divya and Binal Valand. The airline has a total of 76 pilots of which six are lady pilots.
