Madhya Pradesh Tourism launches Tava Resort to promote Ecotourism in the state

The Department of Tourism, Government of Madhya Pradesh in order to promote Ecotourism in the state has launched Tava Resort which is close to Madhai Wildlife Sanctuary and Satpura Tiger Reserve. The resort is 27 km from Itarsi and 130 km from Bhopal and developed near Tava Dam. Tukoji Pawa, Tourism Minister, Madhya Pradesh inaugurated the resort yesterday. Pawa opined that it is now become an Ecotourism destination, which can claim international status as it is equipped with all modern facilities. He also added that with the development of the Tava Resort, the state tourism can provide lot of employment opportunities for the locales.

According to Commander Nigham, Ecotourism advisor with DoT, Government of Madhya Pradesh the new resort has six luxurious rooms facing Tava Dam and a house boat with two suites for travellers. Tourists coming from Satpura or Madhai can stay close to these areas with the new induction of Tava Resort. The state tourism is currently more active in tourism promotion, especially in the promotion of intra-state and inter-state tourism. The state also participated as the theme state in the recently concluded Surajkund Craft Mela in Haryana.
