HotelRez to shift their server to India by next month

UK-based hotel representation and travel solution provider, HotelRez, will complete the process of shifting their server from UK to India by next month. The company has also developed an in-house IT solution team in India to handle web-based queries.

Sharing this information with TravelBiz Monitor, Sudhir Ghildiyal, Director – Revenue & Strategic Accounts, HotelRez, said that the company was in the process of launching six more portals. “We were dependent on an outsourced company in Delhi so far for web-based solutions. The cost to the company was too high. Hence, we have developed an in-house team to handle all IT related matters,” says Ghildiyal.

He informed that the process of moving the server, based in UK, to India will be completed in the next 20 days. The decision to move the server was taken looking at the time difference between UK and the Asia-Pacific countries. HotelRez has currently about 80 member hotels in India alone. “We are in the final stages of negotiations with quite a few hotel properties in the country. We hope to arrive at a final decision by the first or second week of the New Year,” adds Ghildiyal. Globally, HotelRez offers a range of memberships starting from ‘Simply Hotels’ to ‘Elegant’, ‘Fashion Hotels’, and “Hotels 100’.
