Travellers World to expand with office in Canada

Mumbai-based outbound travel company, Travellers World is setting up an office in Edmonton, Canada, next month. The office which will be a registered company called Travellers World Ltd will act as a supplier for agents active in catering to outbound market in India. It will target markets like Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad etc. to increase inbound traffic to Canada and USA. “The company is already listed and will be able to cater to the traffic coming in to Canada and USA from India with in a few weeks,” said Gagandeep Arora, Director, Travellers World.

Travellers World (in Mumbai) caters to the group segment to destinations in Europe, USA and Canada along with Canadian Rockies. “The package for US and Canada will go up to 31 days, and we are targeting about 300 passengers for the season starting from April 2009,” informed Arora. He further added that they are targeting similar number of passengers to Europe, where the itinerary covers destinations like Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands and UK. Apart from offering packages to these destinations, the company also caters to the MICE segment focusing on short haul destination like Thailand and Malaysia. The MICE packages offered are usually a three nights, four days itinerary but may also vary as per the requirement of the client. The company is targeting about 800 people for this season starting from August 2008 to March 2009.
