Safir Tours appointed as exclusive Indian representative of US based Gate 1 Travel

Gate 1 Travel, a US based tour operator, recently appointed Safir Tours Pvt. Ltd. as its exclusive representative in India. Safir Tours, a wholesale outbound tour operator based in Secunderabad, which sells its products through travel agencies will now market and create awareness for Gate 1 Tour products in the Indian travel market. Safir Tours will pay a 17 per cent commission to travel agents on sale of Gate 1 Travels’ escorted and guided tour packages for various destinations and a ten per cent commission on shore excursions, independent vacation packages etc.

Travel agents can log on to gate1travel.com and check for the price per person for the fixed departure packages. Apart from this, they can also verify prices for shore excursions in case of cruises, pre or post tour accommodation, hotel descriptions etc. Commenting on the imminent zero per cent commission scenario in India Nayaz Noor CEO, Safir Tours said, “Zero per cent commissions are inevitable and I urge all travel agencies to focus more on Leisure, MICE and Cruise Tourism, thus developing a niche of their own to make up for the loss in commission on sale of air tickets.”

All booking requests need to be sent to Safir Tours at their e-mail id (sales@safirtours.biz or info@safirtours.biz), after which the online booking will be done and the agents will be informed about the services through an e-mail. After the full payment is made by the agents, Safir Tours will forward the e-documents for the services booked. “What makes it simple to sell, is the ease with which one can log on to the site, find the destination, select the dates, check itineraries, inclusions, exclusions etc. and verify the total price the client will have to pay. All terms and conditions have been highlighted in black and white. This offer has attracted business from travel agents in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi including big players like Sahara Global,” added Noor.

Safir Tours has also been appointed as an agent for Hurtigruten Cruises (Norwegian Coastal Voyage Group) that sails through the Norwegian coast besides Greenland, the Antarctic and Spitsbergen. “This is a niche product and we are confident that this will gain awareness in due course of time,” said Noor.
