Mahindra Holidays and Resorts launch home stays

Mahindra Holidays and Resorts has launched a new concept of holiday accommodation called Mahindra Homestays in London. The concept has been introduced to allow tourists to get a taste of the real India. According to plans, the company will make tourists stay in homes rather than hotels in select places all over India where they can gain an insight into the cultural traditions, history and everyday life of an Indian family.

Mahindra Homestays, has introduced a portfolio of over 50 family properties in picturesque locations throughout India, starting with Delhi, Rajasthan and Kerala and Himachal Pradesh, all with a live online booking facility. The properties are located in diverse locations, ranging from five homes in Spiti Valley (Himachal Pradesh) in the world's highest village, Komic to private tea plantations in Kerala. Tourists can also enjoy activities such as yoga, Ayurvedic treatments and massage, backwater cruise in Kerala and exploring tiger trails in the Periyar Tiger Reserve giving them an opportunity to experience the specific culture and beauty of the area. Tourists will also have the opportunity to enjoy authentic Indian fare with most hosts offering cooking classes.
